Quilt Design Boards are so useful during so many stages of the quilt making process. First, I like to use them to organize all my cut pieces for a quilt. I stack them up and use alphabitties to label them per the pattern I am using.

I also use design boards to lay out my blocks and bring them to the sewing machine for sewing. I love this method because I find it helps me keep organized better, which means less seam ripping! I can also stack the boards and get more sewing done in one sitting this way! That means I am working more efficiently and can finish my projects faster!

While I love all the pretty design boards available to purchase, I do find them a bit pricey, and quite frankly, I would rather spend that money on fabric!
I also love the tutorials for fancy design boards using trim and all that, but, my hands just don’t love glue guns, and it seems like it takes a lot of time to make them.
I came up with a super fast method for making design boards and I really think you will love them too!
They take minutes to make and you probably have almost everything on hand!
