Gingham Christmas Pillow – Day 2

These 12 Days of Christmas Fabric projects will be featured on my YouTube Channel Starting December 1st 2021. These blog posts may not contain all of the assembly instructions so check out the videos on YouTube for further instructions or reach out to me for assistance! YouTube Link

This pillow comes together so quickly because of the strip set method that I will be showing in my YouTube tutorial for this project as well as in some photos below.

This is another project that is a fun way to use up some of your Christmas Fabric scraps.

Materials

  1. 4 Fat Quarters – 2 medium tone ( Same style would work best) ; 1 dark tone ; 1 light tone
  2. 1/2 yard of fabric for the back of the pillow cover (Envelope opening)
  3. 18″ pillow form
  4. Basic sewing supplies

Cutting

From the medium tone fat quarters cut 6 – 3.5″ x 22″ strips.

From the light and dark tone fat quarters cut 3 – 3.5″ x 22″ strips.

From the 1/2 yard of fabric cut a 19″ x 14″ rectangle and a 19″ x 9″ rectangle.

After cutting all of your strips, follow the diagrams below to sew them together into two separate strip sets. Use a 1/4″ seam allowance.

After both strip sets are pieced together, square one side, then sub cut 3.5″ strips from each strip set.

This pillow comes together so quickly! Check it out December 2nd!
