Valentine Quilt

It’s no secret that I wasn’t a big fan of this years cupid box from the fat quarter shop. I just don’t think the value of the box was quite on the mark. I also didn’t think the pattern that accompanied the fabric was that great either.

But, I digress.

Sometimes we just need to make the best of things. So, on that note, I designed my own quilt using the fabric from the box, some yardage and fabric from my stash, and I am sharing with you a quick run through of what I did. Just in case you weren’t a big fan of the pattern either.

At the bottom of this post there will be a free PDF to download as well as a video of the quilt pattern.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I did put everything together pretty quickly.

The quilt is made up of a main panel piece from the Cupid box, and then surrounding that panel are heart blocks and blocks reminiscent of courthouse steps blocks. I added sashing and a border from the white background fabric I used.

I hope you are having a wonderful new year.

Bye for now.
